In this episode of Penny for Your Shots, I had the pleasure of speaking with Kirsten Graham, a business coach and outsourcing expert who is transforming how solopreneurs and small business owners approach growth. Kirsten’s journey from real estate to coaching and her passion for empowering entrepreneurs to embrace support in their businesses offer valuable lessons for anyone looking to scale their impact and reclaim their time.

From Real Estate to Coaching

Kirsten’s entrepreneurial journey began in real estate, but it quickly evolved as she identified a significant need among business owners—lead generation and establishing authority in their fields. This realization led Kirsten to partner with Jeannie Wilson, and together they launched programs focused on providing entrepreneurs with virtual assistants (VAs) to manage tasks like social media, content creation, and marketing.

"It’s amazing to hear clients say, ‘I feel like a real business owner now,’ or, ‘My vision for my business has tripled,’ because of the support they’re receiving," Kirsten shared.

The Power of Outsourcing

For Kirsten, outsourcing is more than just a way to delegate—it’s a form of self-care. She emphasizes how crucial it is for entrepreneurs, especially women, to let go of the idea that they have to do everything themselves.

"We can make more money, but we can’t make more time. Outsourcing helps you reclaim your time and focus on what you love," Kirsten explained.

She and her team specialize in connecting entrepreneurs with skilled VAs, primarily from the Philippines, to provide affordable, long-term support. The process includes a rigorous training program to ensure VAs are equipped with the skills needed for tasks like video editing, graphic design, and social media management.

The Role of SOPs in Success

One of Kirsten’s key strategies is implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline workflows. By documenting processes, entrepreneurs can efficiently manage their teams and ensure consistency.

"SOPs are a game-changer. They take tasks out of your head, freeing you to focus on your vision," she noted.

Through her programs, Kirsten helps entrepreneurs establish systems that allow their businesses to run smoothly, even when they’re not directly involved in every task.

YouTube, Podcasts, and Building Authority

Kirsten also highlighted the importance of showing up authentically through content marketing. She encourages entrepreneurs to create educational-based content on platforms like YouTube and podcasts to build trust and showcase their expertise.

"Video marketing is crucial. It’s about building that know-like-trust factor with your audience," Kirsten said.

Her podcast, Six Figure Business Mastery, offers actionable insights for business owners, featuring experts who share tips on everything from contracts to using Pinterest effectively. Kirsten is also launching a new podcast, Blueprints for Brilliance: Coaching Insights, focusing on the journeys and wisdom of coaches.

A Personal Touch

Kirsten’s love for community and connection shines through in her business and personal life. She shared stories of enjoying margaritas with friends, hosting Zoom wine nights, and her plans to visit the Philippines to meet the VAs she works with.

"Sharing a drink with friends—whether Prosecco on tap or a rich Malbec—is about more than the drink itself. It’s about creating memories," she reflected.

Closing Thoughts: Support is Self-Care

Kirsten’s message to entrepreneurs is clear: you deserve support. Outsourcing isn’t just a way to grow your business—it’s a way to honor your time, create opportunities for others, and build a sustainable, fulfilling career.
