Helloooo, friends! This week feels momentous as I celebrate two incredible milestones: turning 60 and marking the first anniversary of Penny for Your Shots. Both occasions have inspired deep reflection about life, growth, and the journey of lifting up others. Turning 60: A Time for Wisdom and Joy

It’s surreal to say I’m turning 60 tomorrow, November 1st. While the occasional creaky joints and 16 years of hot flashes remind me of time passing, I feel far from old. Instead, I feel wiser, more purposeful, and ready to embrace what’s next.

"Getting older isn’t for sissies, but it sure beats the alternative!"

What excites me most about this chapter is leaning into my purpose of uplifting women, helping them find their spark, and encouraging them to dream bigger.

One Year of Podcasting: Telling Women’s Stories

November 2nd marks one year since I launched Penny for Your Shots. I’ll be honest—starting a podcast was daunting. I wrestled with doubts: Would I figure out the tech? Would anyone listen? And like many of us, I let my inner critic get loud:

"I hate how I sound. I’ll wait until I lose some weight. What if I fail?"

Ultimately, I realized these limiting beliefs were rooted in ego, and telling women’s stories mattered far more than my insecurities. Sharing others’ brilliance helped me get over myself, and I’ve been blown away by the impact these stories have had.
